Every Hyster that comes through our yard — from a compact S-series warehouse truck to a 70,000-lb big truck — goes through the same inspection before it’s listed for sale. Our technicians check the engine, hydraulic system, mast and lift chains, tires, and brakes, and anything that doesn’t meet our standard gets fixed before the unit goes up for sale.
On the high-capacity end, that matters more than usual — a hydraulic or structural issue on a 50,000-lb truck isn’t a minor repair, and we’re not interested in selling a “deal” that turns into a liability six months in.
Safety systems get checked separately: horn, lights, backup alarm, seat belt interlock, tilt and lift controls.

It depends heavily on capacity — that’s truer for Hyster than almost any other brand we carry. A standard warehouse-class Hyster (3,000–6,000 lbs) typically runs $9,000 to $20,000 reconditioned. High-capacity units climb fast from there — we’ve had units on our lot priced well over $100,000, reflecting the size and engineering of the truck, not a markup. Same rule of thumb as any forklift: a single-shift operation puts roughly 2,000 hours a year on a truck, so a unit under 10,000–12,000 hours with documented maintenance is usually still a solid buy. High-capacity Hyster units tend to get maintained more rigorously as a matter of course — a well-documented 15,000-hour big truck can be a better buy than a mystery-history unit with half the hours.
